Boho braids combine a traditional braid at the root with loose, curly pieces woven through or left free at the ends. The result is textured and a little undone-looking, in a good way. It’s the style for anyone who wants braids that don’t look too “perfect” or uniform.

• Best for: a relaxed, festival-ready look, or anyone who wants braids with visible texture and movement
• Install time: moderate as the curly sections take a bit more care to blend naturally.

Passion twists are twisted the whole way down, giving a more uniform, bouncy result. There’s no braided base, just soft, rope-like twists from root to tip. The overall look reads a little more polished and consistent than boho braids.

• Best for: a defined, bouncy style that holds its shape well over time
• Install time: typically faster than boho braids since there’s no separate curly-end step.

Both styles can last 6–8 weeks with proper care, but passion twists tend to hold their shape slightly longer since there’s less loose, curly hair to frizz or tangle. Boho braids may need a bit more mid-style maintenance to keep the curly ends looking fresh.
